June never intended to work for the Combat Sports Division at SB Nation. She had earned several art degrees (in visual communications, fine & graphic arts & medical illustration), plus a certificate in technical writing.
But she became disabled and needed a work-from-home job right away and SB Nation fit the bill, and well... she just stayed and never left us.
First, she worked on a volunteer basis for us with a her roommate (who was already working the SBN Blog Cageside Seats Pro Wrestling) in August 2010; wearing many hats while there - leading up to Assistant Site Manager by 2013.
After leaving CSS spring of 2013, she went on to work with other SB Nation blogs: MMA Mania, The Daily Norseman, Bad Left Hook & the SBN/Combat Culture BE-YT Channel, while officially setting her home-base to Bloody Elbow by the end of 2014.
She has done many behind-the-scenes projects for the Combat Sports Division of SB Nation (later VOX): including creating dozens of logos, brackets, spreadsheets, 1000s of Graphics, 100s of Videos, Authoring & Editing countless posts, as well as running many of our podcast social media pages.
Currently, for our new Bloody Elbow Publishing Company she’s our Bloody Elbow Ombudsperson, Lead Fixer, Boxing & Live Stream Author, Statistician, Watch Party Moderator, and Podcast Network & Syndication Manager
As a freelancer, she also creates graphics for the ‘Heavy Hands’ Podcast, Produces ‘The Eugene S. Robinson Show Stomper!’ Podcast, ‘The Bad Boss Brief’ Podcast, the 'sub rosa' features, and acts as an occasional Producer of ‘The VFCS’ Podcast for WONGDOODY.com, as well.
In her spare time, she enjoys being the owner and operator of ORIJUNEL DESIGNS, plus her retail sculpture shop: 'Blooms From June', her shops by the same name on eBay and Etsy, and she is the founder of the successful 'Everything Isabel Bloom Group' on Facebook, acting as an art historian and sculpture expert.
When she isn't immersed in work, she enjoys time with her family and pets (3 cats and a German Shepherd).
