Brendan Loughnane vs. Jesus Pinedo headlines PFL 4 | IMAGO/ZUMA Wire

PFL 4 is tonight’s live mma card and is going down tonight (June 8th) from the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, Georgia to continue on with their 2023 season. Featherweights and light heavyweights will be featured on tonight’s card, with the main event getting the 27-4 Brendan Loughnane taking on the 20-6-1 Jesus Pinedo.

Loughnane was the 2022 tournament winner, knocking out Bubba Jenkins to score the cool million-dollar payday. Now, he is looking to bag another million bucks by following in the footsteps of other multiple season winners like Natan Schulte and Lance Palmer. Standing in his way is a one-time UFC fighter in Pinedo. After dropping a decision to John Makdessi at UFC on ESPN+ 6, Jesus knocked out four opponents before dropping a split decision in his PFL debut.

On the PFL 4 undercard, former UFC bantamweight title challenger Marlon Moraes will attempt to snap a brutal six-fight stretch of getting finished. This will be kind of hard to watch for me. I’ve been a fan of Marlon since he was running shop in the WSOF, and to see him devolve into one of the chinniest elite fighters that we’ve ever seen really hurts my heart.

Moraes’ opponent is the 10-0 undefeated Gabriel Alves Braga, which on paper appears to be a major step down in competition. Be that as it may, I’m still concerned for Marlon’s health. If Moraes comes up short here, I think I will have to personally boycott any future event that books him. My heart just can’t take it.

The start time for the PFL 4 card is 6:30pm ET. The event can be streamed on ESPN+/ESPN in North America, and then on the promotion’s YouTube channel for other locations.
